Princess Diana's Ring -- Now In Kate's Hands

Prince William gave his longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton, now his fiancee, an engagement ring that once belonged to her mother, Princess Diana, the spokesperson of William’s father Prince Charles said.

The ring is 18 carats and contains 14 small diamonds surrounding an oval blue sapphire. The late Princess Diana chose this ring at the Garrard Jewelers to be her engagement ring.

The royal wedding is set for either the spring or summer of 2011.

A New Zealander and his US-born wife have won an international competition looking for the 'world's best couple'.
Cameron and Shariyah Morris were named the winners of a 22-carat princess cut diamond ring worth $1 million in the competition devised by Michael Hill Jeweller.
The ring was made to fit US celebrity Kim Kardashian, who travelled the world with it before presenting it to Cameron and Shariyah in New York overnight.
