Elton John’s Sapphire and Diamond at auction house
A sapphire-and-diamond brooch worn by singer Elton John in one of his music videos will go under the gavel this week. The Elton John brooch was created in 1935 and designed in the form of ‘J’ and was worn in the 1988 music video “I Don’t Wanna Go on With You Like That”.
The 1930s-era brooch has brilliant-cut and baguette-cut diamond and oval-cut and circular-cut sapphires. It has an estimated value of 12,000-15,000 pounds(US$22,330-27,900)
