The World Most Expensive Diamond Skull
A diamond encrusted skull by British artist Damien Hirst, thought to be the world’s most expensive piece of contemporary art. The skull is covered in platinum and 8,601 diamonds-the biggest of them weighing in at 52.5 carats. Hirst sold the skull for 50 million pounds ($118.5 million) in a private sale last year.
